This CD is one of my all time favorites, it mixes soulful R&B with smooth jazz and is absolutely mesmerizing. From Larenz Tate's poem in the beginning to Nia Long's poem at the end, it will grab you and it won't let go.

Some of the artists featured include Dionne Farris, Maxwell, Xscape, Cassandra Wilson, Kenny Lattimore, and Me'Shell NdegeOcello, John Coltrane and Duke Ellington. You gotta have this CD, click on the image and you can listen to some of the tracks.

This is truly one of my most favorite films of all time. It really captured the essence of what falling in love is all about. It was also an excellent example of African American relationships. No drugs, no gangs and no abuse, just friends and lovers being themselves . This is a great film for non-whites in the US to see so that they can understand that life in the black community isn't always reflected in rap lyrics. Some people complain that the movie didn't get wide recognition from the white community. I say, so what! ... We don't need white society's blessing, acceptance or accolades in order for us to feel that we have accomplished something. We really need to get away from trying to measure up and just be ourselves.

It was a wonderful site to see a black couple on the big screen with a "normal" life. There is no gun shooting, drug dealing or unnecessary degrading of a female or male. This movie shows a black couple that goes through the ups and downs of a relationship. It also shows the friends they turn to for advice. This movie scores big with me because the actors are great in their roles and the storyline is well written.

I really enjoy watching this movie. I can watch this movie over and over again. If you ever been in love then you will know exactly what the actors are feeling. The movie puts you in a love jones mood.
